


If you shame someone for being fat or being gay, or use racial or sexist slurs, etc, you are stigmatizing not what they actually did wrong, but that specific quality. I see this behavior all the time, and it is, in my opinion, one of the surest signs of realizing someone is an asshole. The problem with attacking one quality of an individual because they did something else wrong stigmatizes that quality. What the fuck does his speech impediment have to do with how his question wasted time? And it is, moreso, even worse to mock a child about something that is irrelevant to what he did "wrong".
